The physical "powder" shape mainly concerns 3 types of products:
Soaps and solid lubricants are characterized by the thickness of their lubricating film and by their temperature resistance, which is directly related to their mineral content. They are intended for deep drawing or hot working operations. Surface treatments can be broken down into two families: - with lubricating properties their role is to improve the adherence of the lubricant that will be applied later and their 100% active pulverulent formulation facilitates their implementation by simple dissolution or dispersion in water. - with self-lubricating characteristics which are designed to form a lubricating and adhesive coating on the surface of the metal thus doing away with the need for additional lubricant.
