This relatively diverse family of chemical products all share the common point of being solid lubricant dispersions (pulverulent products) in a liquid vehicle which may be water, oil or organic solvents.
They are primarily used for their ability to form a continuous layer of solid lubricant, which is stable in deformation conditions and/or very severe temperatures. Fields of application (example): - wire drawing, - hot extrusion, - iron and steel works.
